So you are looking to create content for your Blog, Site or newsletter. The content you create needs to accomplish 3 things . - provide the information being searched for - build trust in your knowledge and expertise - gently lead your reader to visiting your links or taking a particular action There isn’t too much to it. It becomes easier to do this when you understand the objectives well. Don’t get too hung up on doing your first article perfectly. 1. Provide the information being searched for – If the visitor comes to site looking for info on list building and you provide info on affiliate marketing, he/she is going to leave. Provide the information ,atleast partially, about what you said you were going to talk about.  Providing the right information will let you keep the person long enough to achieve the second objective. 2. Build trust in your knowledge and expertise – you don’t have to be an expert on a topic to provide relevant and useful information. You don’t have to pretend to be one either if you’re not.  All you have to do is provide enough useful, factual information to convince the reader that you know what you are talking about and that you are someone who is to be trusted. You need to build trust in the reader so you can achieve the next objective. 3. Gently lead your reader to click on your links or take a particular action - after reading your content, he/she should come away knowing a bit more about the topic and closer to finding the solution he/she is looking for . If you want them to take a particular action, you must say so. eg. like add me to your twitter list. Etc.

So how do you go about creating this content Fast ? You have two options . 1). Research and write the content yourself. 2). Hire someone else to do it for you Writing the content yourself - Create a targeted and compelling title – Use words such as “Insider”, “you” ,” secret” , “how to ” to grab attention and create curiosity. Implying benefits such as “3 features you didn’t know ” etc. further encourages the reader. Introduction – The introduction need only be 3 to 5 sentences. Tell them a good reason to continue reading your article. The Body – the body of the article needs to consist of 3 to 5 paragraphs. It needs to contain information. Research your topic online or offline to get information on the topic. Conclusion – Gently lead your reader to your links. Since the body provided them with information they were looking for, you have a bit more of their trust. Using the Power of Social Networking and Bookmarking to bring People to Your Site

Today’s blog post is all about Free Traffic . Getting Free Traffic to your site or blog. There really is quite nothing like it . Tons of Free targeted traffic can lead to more of everything you’ve ever wanted. I’ve made this post short and more about the big picture so that People don’t get bogged down by little details.

Building MySpace pages, Squidoo Lens, Hub Pages , You Tube Videos etc. gets you ranked higher in the search engines. One of things to note here is that instead of having a single Site or Blog and trying to promote that alone, you could build pages on these popular social networking sites. Its free and to top it all get tons of traffic.

Now instead of having just a single Blog or Site , we could have a myspace page, a squidoo lens all leading and sharing content from our site.  Why we bother doing this is because they rank higher in the search engines and the chance of someone coming across our site has increased.

Another thing you would want to do is make use of Social Bookmarking Sites. Sites like Propeller, Digg, Delicious etc. . They have millions of people visiting them looking for information everyday. Yes they also turn up in search engines. Individual Bookmarks turn up in search engines enabling you to get higher rankings rather easily. You could bookmark individual blog posts. Of course bookmarking your own sites alone shouldn’t be all you are doing. Put up a few other bookmarks just so that it doesn’t look like you’re only interested in self promotion.

Another thing you’d want to do is basically drive them back to your site. This is only required in the case of myspace pages , squidoo lenses etc. Put up quality content and ask them to visit your site for similar content. You could also give them a reason to visit your site by giving away a Free Book , report or software .

That is pretty much it. This is in no way everything you’d need to know. But you do know enough to put them into action. Take Action. The results will surprise you.

The Pygmalion Effect

Yes , Its one of those Days . The title sounds ridiculously mysterious. Doesn’t It. In many ways it is. Some people call it Pygmalion and some don’t call it anything . They just describe the Effect . But mention it they always do.

You may have read or heard about the well quoted experiments that were conducted with School Children entering a new Class.

Before the Year Started, the teacher was informed that out of a group 25 students, 5 in particular were outstandingly intelligent and would lead the class by leaps and bounds. In truth, however , the 5 students were picked at random and were no different intellectually than anyone else in the group.

But as the year went on, the 5 students brought to the teacher’s attention far surpassed everyone else in the group. In fact, it was almost embarrassing how far ahead those 5 students were at the end of the school year.

This experiment has come to be known as ” The Pygmalion Effect”

What it basically means is that Expectation alters behaviour and experience. If you expect to have fun, you’ll have a lot more fun than if you expect to be bored.  You’ll do a lot better at Internet Marketing or anything else if you expect to Succeed. If not you also won’t put in enough effort to succeed.
